Privacy
Is this actually private?
Yes. Detection runs on your device. No screenshots are uploaded, and we never see your screen or your history. The one exception is a screenshot you choose to send us after a false alarm, one image at a time.
What exactly does my ally see?
When a known adult site is opened on one of your devices, a short text that names the app, the device and the time. Never the site, the image or your history.
Does On Guard save screenshots?
Not unless you send one. Detection runs on your device and the pixels stay there. We never upload, store, or see your screen, unless you choose to send us one screenshot after a false alarm; we delete it after 90 days. If needed, your ally gets a short check-in text, never an image.
Getting started
Do I need an account to start?
No. You can go on guard on one device without an account. You create one when you invite an ally, add a second device or start your trial.
Which devices does it cover?
iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac, Windows. One subscription, unlimited devices.
Does On Guard work on iPhone?
Yes, with key differences. On iPhone it runs on Apple's Screen Time controls with nudges and site filtering. Mac, Windows and Android get full detection.
How it works
How is this different from a blocker?
Blockers use lists of sites and miss social feeds. On Guard steps in live, in the apps where the feed is, and gives you a way out.
What stops me from just uninstalling it?
Nothing. But your ally is told when On Guard is uninstalled or signed out, and when a device stops being active for 7 days. Quitting loudly is the point.
