You're someone's ally.
Someone trusts you enough to put you in their corner. On Guard is an on-device defense against explicit content and feed-bait, and an ally is the human half: when it matters, you get a short message so you can reach out. That's the whole job. No monitoring, no reports, no dashboards.
When you'll hear from On Guard
- Explicit content is encountered — a check-in, never details or screenshots.
- Protection is turned off or On Guard is uninstalled on a device.
- Protection silently stops on a device — a lapse alert.
Allies are only ever told that something happened — never what. No screens, no history, no content.
What a good check-in looks like
A text, a call, an invitation to grab food. You're not a referee. You're a brother in the corner. “Saw the ping. You good?” is usually enough.
Stopping the messages
- Text messages: reply STOP to any SMS. Reply HELP for help.
- Email: use the unsubscribe link in any email.
- Or ask the person who added you to remove you; they can, any time, from their On Guard settings.
